Update: Thiago Alcántara and Adidas have confirmed the Spaniard's switch from Nike to the three-stripe brand.

Thiago Alcántara Debuts Adidas Predator Freak .1 Boots

Update: Just one day after posting promo images of him training in Adidas gear, Thiago Alcântara laced up in the Adidas Predator Freak .1 football boots in training. It was the first time that he wore the Predator silo - he previously laced up in the Adidas Copa boots in training sometimes.

March 12 2021: An image from Liverpool's Thiago posted on social media yesterday suggests that the Spaniard is set to announce his deal with Adidas very soon.

Thiago Alcântara had been sponsored by Nike for many years until around summer 2020. Since then, he has been wearing old Nike Phantom Venom boots in the matches and Adidas Copa boots in some training sessions. He once also laced up in Mizuno boots and the old Adidas F50 Adizero from 2012.

Thiago Alcântara posted a photo collage of his (promotional) training. While exercising, he was wearing a black Adidas shirt with the white lettering Adidas on it.

But Thiago did not only train in Adidas boots - the pictures feature the filenames ThreeStripes01, ThreeStripes02 and ThreeStripes03, suggesting that this training was used for promotional images for the German company
