North Macedonia to Revert to 2016 Kit for Euro 2020
The North Macedonia national team will not use their new home kit, presented just two days ago, the federation just confirmed.
The President of the Football Federation of Macedonia, Muamed Sejdini, addressed the supporters of the team who had criticized the new jersey and its darker than usual color.
"I express my sincere regret for the negative reactions that were caused by the color of the new jersey. We are aware that the national team jersey is an honor and ambition of every football player from an early age."
Sejdini also expressed his regret of not participating more in the creation process of the shirt and trusting the departments of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) with it.
As confirmed in the statement, a request was sent to UEFA in order to switch the assigned kit back to the one that had been in use for more than four years.
Wearing this shirt, North Macedonia participated in the U21 Euro 2017, while also achieving the historic Euro 2020 qualification.
