Zlatan Ibrahimovic With Nike Contract Again?

Update: Zlatan Ibrahimovic has turned 40 last month. His boots now feature a 40 to mark his age.

After the 2-1 victory against Roma in which he scored the 1-0 with a free-kick, Ibrahimović posted a close-up picture of it with the Caption "Reminder" - a hint that he is already aged 40. We do not think he has a boot contract with Nike.

Update: Ibrahimovic just posted a 'Boot Spotting'-inspired picture of him and his Mercurials with a clear caption - not the football shoes but the feet make the difference. It seems now very unlikely that he has a contract with Nike.

Ibrahimovic Returns to Training In Nike Mercurial Vapor 8 With Big IBRA ZLATAN Customization

Ibrahimovic laced up in the latest Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 football boots, rounded off with a special customization for the Swedish striker. The heel area features 'IBRA' and his 'ZLATAN' logo.

The customization is different from anything we are used by Nike. However, it is likely that it was done by the Swoosh as his cleats also come with Nike's 'trademark 2021' customization design on the outstep (player name + country flag).

Ibrahimovic has been without a Nike boot contract since at least early 2020. He was rumored to join Puma but did not do so in the end. He also laced up in Diadora football boots.

In late 2020, Zlatan Ibrahimović removed the Swoosh for an Instagram picture. His latest AC Milan training images make it difficult to see that he is wearing Nike boots... he may choose those on which it is not visible.

Zlatan also used Nike running shoes, which is an indicator that he has a deal with Nike.

As of today, it is impossible to say if Ibrahimović has a deal with Nike or not. It seems certain that he has some contact to Nike and their famous Italian customization factory in Montebelluna, located near Milano.
