Custom Black & Gold Nike Mercurial Carli Lloyd Boots Revealed

USWNT legend Carli Lloyd's international career ended last night in a 6-0 win over South Korea.

Celebrating an amazing career for the US Women's national team with 134 goals in 316 games, Nike have created a custom pair of Mercurial Vapors that were worn by Lloyd last night.

The boots are based on the Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 and come in a custom black and gold colorway. They feature the US Soccer badge on the heel while the inside of the two shoes features the years 1987 and 2021.

1987 here represents the year Carli started playing soccer, aged 5, while 2021 of course marks the end of her international career.

The insole reads "Better Every Day", which is a personal motto for Lloyd.
