Futuristic, Second Potential Adidas 2022 World Cup Ball Panel Design Leaked
In addition to the supposed 2022 World Cup model as well as the "Dzhanibekov effect" one, Adidas have recently registered one more (foot)ball patent.
New Adidas Football Patent
Featuring a very similar style of images to the World Cup one, this new Adidas ball features a very interesting panel shape.
Rounded triangle shapes transition into thinner pieces that go around the sphere. Similar to the other patent, this one too has quite a few different panels - certainly more than the six used for the last World Cup ball, Telstar 18.
The patent was registered on April 4, 2020 and was made public on June 1, 2021.
Right now, there's no confirmation either way on what exactly this Adidas football is. The same is true for the previous leak, which we at the time suspected to be the World Cup model. There are several possibilities, including that one of the two ends up being a takedown or that one ends up being discarded.
Either way, we will keep an eye on the situation and post an update if something happens.
What do you think about the two Adidas ball panel patents?

Schlotterbeck Deliberately Wears His Football Socks the Wrong Way Round
Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck has a very specific habit regarding his matchday attire. The centre-back deliberately wears his football socks the wrong way round - the back is on the front, and the front is on the back.
In 2025, the Borussia Dortmund & Germany center back once told SPORT1 that this was one of his unique habits.
