Greenwood Is No Longer a Nike Athlete

Manchester United's Mason Greenwood was released on bail on Wednesday afternoon. This does mean everything but not that he is not guilty. Now Nike have have officially ended their partnership with Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood will not return to training soon likely

Greenwood, 20, was arrested at the end of last month by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of rape and assault of a woman.

Nike End Partnership With Greenwood

Nike have told The Athletic that they will no longer be sponsoring Greenwood.

A Nike spokesperson said: “Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete”.

Greenwood has been also removed from all video games

Mason Greenwood has been sponsored by Nike since at least his time as a professional. He was one of the main ambassadors of the Nike Phantom GT.

Mason Greenwood has been also removed from video games FIFA, eFootball, and PES. It is also not possible to buy Mason Greenwood's Manchester United kit, and fans can exchange their Greenwood for free at any Manchester United store.

As things stand, Greenwood will not be selected by United or involved in training, although he has not been formally suspended.

Greenwood has not responded to the allegations.
