Sergio Ramos Joins Mizuno

Mizuno have announced a deal with Sergio Ramos, putting an end to the former Real Madrid player's long 'boot saga'.

With today's announcement, Sergio Ramos's time with the Nike Tiempo officially ends - more than a year-and-a-half after he was initially spotted wearing another brand's boots. First it was New Balance, later Adidas and finally he decided to bet on Mizuno.

The announcement isn't a surprise by any stretch of the imagination as Ramos has been playing in Mizuno cleats for a while now.

Having officially joined the brand, we could see Mizuno release special-edition colorways exclusive to Ramos. So far, it's only been confirmed that Ramos will wear the Morelia Neo III Beta Japan.

“I am proud to be the new ambassador of Mizuno, a Japanese sports brand with such a rich history in football,” Ramos explained. “As a child, I already wore Mizuno boots and I remember these lasted forever. Years went by, but when I recently tried on my new Mizuno boots, they instantly reminded me of my youth again. They just boast quality, in terms of the sensation of touching the ball, the lightness and fit. I am delighted to be united with Mizuno again, wear their boots and hopefully celebrate many victories to come.”
