Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina - Classic Serie A 1980s Jackets Re-Released by NR
Great news for fans of the Serie A 80s aesthetic: you can now buy classic Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina track jackets produced by NR, the iconic brand indelibly associated with that era of Italian football.
80s Serie A Jackets by NR
NR (whose name is the initials of its creator, Nicola Raccuglia) may not be a household name today, but their logo was seen on the kits and training wear of many of Italy’s top teams in the 80s and early 90s. If you’ve ever seen a photo of Maradona in a Napoli shirt, then you’ve seen NR’s work.
The Roma track jacket is the club’s traditional red colour, with yellow taping down the sleeves. It features the much-loved Lupetto crest on the right of the chest and the classic Barilla sponsor underneath. On the left there is the NR logo and AS Roma lettering in white. The Barilla logo also appears on the back. The original was used in the 86-87 season.
The Napoli track jacket is the club’s traditional light blue colour with white taping down the sleeves. The Buitoni sponsor logo stands alone on the right of the chest, while the NR logo and Napoli badge and lettering are found on the left. The Buitoni sponsor also appears on the back. The original was used in the 86-87 season.
The Fiorentina track jacket is of course the club’s unmistakable purple colour with white taping down the sleeves. The old school Opel logo is placed on the right of the chest with the NR logo and Fiorentina badge on the left. The Opel logo also appears on the back. The original was used in the 84-85 season.
The jackets are available to pre-order now from Classic Soccer Jerseys, costing €230 apiece.
