As was reported by Centotrentuno earlier this year, Cagliari's partnership with Adidas ends after just two seasons. Eye Sport, a local sportswear brand who, like Cagliari, are situated in Sardinia, have taken over.
Eye Sport already outfit rival Sardinian side Olbia Calcio (Serie C), as well as a handful of other Serie C/D clubs. Cagliari Calcio would have been the brand's first foray into the Italian top flight, but Cagliari did get relegated last season.
The club confirmed that the deal with Eye Sport will run for the next five seasons, until 2028-29.
Reasons for Cagliari's sudden departure from Adidas may include dissatisfaction with the shirt designs so far. All of the club's kits over the past two seasons have been created with Adidas miteam, the German brand's customization service.
This means Cagliari Calcio do not get the same premium service that higher-ranked Adidas customers receive.
Eye Sport on the other hand will certainly be committed to giving Cagliari their best work, as the club are by far their most notable partner.
