Qatar Airways to Become New PSG Shirt Sponsor

We have more PSG sponsorship news today, this time concerning their main shirt sponsor. L’Equipe are reporting that Qatar Airways’ logo could take the place of Accor from the 22/23 season onwards.

PSG to Have New Shirt Sponsor - In Talks With Qatar Airways

The mock-ups below show two possible logos Qatar Airways could use, with the first being the most likely.

Accor’s “Live Limitless” logo has appeared on the Parisians’ shirts since 2019 when they took over from Emirates Airlines, but the hotel group will not be continuing the deal which costs them between €60-70 million per season. They will remain partners of the club but with a different agreement which will see them pay less for the privilege and also no longer feature on the shirts.

Qatar Airways is owned by the Qatari government, who also founded Qatar Sports Investment, the owners of PSG.

PSG are in talks with existing partner Qatar Airways to replace Accor in the middle of the Hechter next season. The airline have been official club partners since 2020 but do not have their logo featured on match and training gear as part of their current agreement. It is expected that the deal with Qatar Airways would be worth a similar amount to the existing Accor deal.

Qatar Airways currently sponsor Boca Juniors and in recent years have also had their logo appear on the kits of Roma and Barcelona. They have always used a simplified text-only logo as part of these deals, so we would expect to see the same with PSG.

Talks are still ongoing but L'Équipe say a deal is “very probable”.
