Denmark Men's Team to Wear Women's Shirt Against Austria

A few days after Germany, Spain and Belgium's men's teams took to the pitch wearing the recently released kits designed for their women's teams, Hummel and Denmark have jumped on the bandwagon. In tomorrow's UEFA Nations League game against Austria, Denmark will wear the women's team home kit which will be used at this summer's Women's Euro 2022.

Denmark to Wear Women's Kit

Women's football has been growing rapidly in popularity and scale over the last few years, with many clubs, brands and associations trying to break down old prejudices and help the women's game move towards parity with that of the men. The latest initiative in this respect comes from Hummel, who have released a men's version of the women's home kit. This men's version has the exact same design as the women's shirt, but with a fit more suited to the male body.

The shirt appears plain from a distance, but on closer inspection, a subtle pattern of lines covers the whole jersey. White Hummel chevrons are present on the shoulders, while raglan sleeves and a round neck collar complete the simplistic design.

The men's team will wear the kit tomorrow against Austria in the UEFA Nations League, while the women's team will wear it for their campaign at Women's Euro 2022, which starts on the 6th of July.
