Nike's nine elite teams get a new bespoke home kit every season, just as almost all teams in football currently.

Nike "are seriously considering offering a home jersey for several clubs including PSG, which would be worn for 2 years", according to @lasource75006.

It has been common for football teams to keep their jerseys for several years until the 1990s. Since then, teams started to release three new kits every year. Nike were surely a trendsetter of yearly kit releases back then.

There would be several advantages if teams would release no new home kit every year, and of course, also disadvantages.

Advantages include the ecological point of view as well as the wallet of fans. Disadvantages include that teams might wear an unpopular home kit for two years and that brands/teams could make less money.

Recently, several smaller teams announced that they will carry over kits for the next season, including Brentford and Hull City.

In the US, sports teams change the design of their jerseys as well but not nearly as regular as it is in soccer. For example, most NFL teams keep their uniforms for several years.
