No More Puma: Nîmes Olympique Sign with Kipsta (Decathlon)

French Ligue 2 club Nîmes Olympique have signed a deal with Kipsta, the brand owned by sports retail giant Decathlon, which will come into effect from the first of July, as reported by Yahoo Sports.

Nîmes Olympique have been wearing Puma kits since 2016, before which they were sponsored by Errea. The club's 21-22 kits will be the last produced by Puma as the new deal with Kipsta kicks off on the 1st of July. Kipsta are showing signs of intent to break into the professional football market, having initially built a name for themselves as a low-cost, budget friendly option for football clothing and equipment, as well as other sports.

Nîmes Olympique will be Kipsta's first professional club in France and their second club overall, having first kitted out Belgian side KV Oostende for the 21-22 season. They are also the new official match ball providers for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, France's top two divisions.
