Spain's La Liga to Be Called "LaLiga EA Sports FC" From 2023
Starting in the 2023-24 season, EA Sports FC will be the title sponsor of all LaLiga competitions, replacing Banco Santander. This was officially announced this week.
Barcelona are under contract with Konami until 2023
From 2023, EA Sports' famous football video game will be not called EA SPORTS FIFA but "EA SPORTS FC".
LaLiga Become "La Liga EA Sports FC"
The multi-year partnership between EA SPORTS FC™ and LaLiga will include title naming rights for all LaLiga competitions, a complete rebrand of LaLiga with EA SPORTS including all logos, graphics, fonts and other visual elements.
It remains to be seen which other rights are included in the deal. EA are also a sponsor of Real Madrid, while FC Barcelona are under contract with KONAMI until 2023.
LaLiga will undergo a complete rebrand
According to reports, Electronic Arts will pay the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (LFP) just under 30 million euros per year for the cooperation. The deal is to be valid for five years, i.e. until the summer of 2028.
This new partnership will encompass the first and second divisions of LaLiga (Spain’s top professional football competitions), LaLiga Promises (the league’s annual youth tournament) and eLaLiga.
EA pay LaLiga around 30 million Euro/season
“EA SPORTS FC is committed to delivering the most authentic and immersive experiences in global football. Our innovative new partnership with LaLiga further elevates that ambition and solidifies both organizations' position at the centre of football culture,” said David Jackson, VP Brand, EA SPORTS FC. “The visible reach and scale of this partnership is deeply exciting, as is the opportunity to deliver incredible experiences for fans through in-game innovation, interactive entertainment and grassroots initiatives.”

Adidas Germany 'Alternate History' 1992 Collection Leaked
Update - Friday, May 22, 2026: Thanks to our follower @Julifu90, we have an image of the t-shirt of the Adidas Germany EQT 1992 retro collection. It is set to be released in the coming days.
We have the first image of a unique new Adidas Germany retro jacket, showcasing an intriguing new approach from the sportswear brand.
While the design instantly evokes strong nostalgia for the 1990s, this upcoming release is actually an "alternate history" creation. Despite its highly authentic vintage appearance and period-accurate details, this specific track jacket never actually existed in the official Adidas catalogues during the 1990s, making it a brand new addition to their retro-focused lifestyle collection.
To achieve this convincing old-school aesthetic, Adidas has utilized their classic 1992 template as the structural foundation for the design. The garment features a vibrant green base that heavily nods to Germany's traditional away kits of the era. The colors of the German national flag are cleverly completed on the sleeves through large geometric blocks that also recreate the 3 stripes.
The same jacket will also be released for Spain and other Adidas national teams.
