Barcelona Have Registered Red Home Shorts and Socks

We have interesting news from international football, as it has been noticed by @museumofjerseys that FC Barcelona currently have a fourth kit option in the UEFA Champions League.

Here is Barcelona's fourth kit choice in UEFA competitions for 2022-23.

As you can see, Barcelona have registered their home shirt, combined with never-before seen red shorts and socks, as their fourth kit choice. However, there are not many situations where this combination would make sense to wear over the other choices.

Red shorts were most recently worn during 2015-16 as Barca's primary home option, but with dark blue socks. Last season, Barcelona had the unique half red, half blue shorts, but again combined with blue socks.

In general, Barcelona are not known for 'mashing up' their different kit options. This case cannot truly be considered 'mashing up' either, since the red shorts and socks would still be unique and specially designed to match the 22-23 home shirt.
