We have no exact launch date for the Phantom GX soccer shoes yet - it is very likely that Nike will release the Phantom GX ahead of the 2022 World Cup, while there is a very small chance that we will see the release after the 2022 World Cup, in early 2023.
Nike Phantom GT to Be Replaced With Nike Phantom GX
The Nike Phantom GX football boots are the successor of the Nike Phantom GT silo. Prototypes of the Nike Phantom GX cleats have been worn by many different Nike players, including Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Eduardo Camavinga, Joshua Kimmich, Erling Haaland, and Dani Carvajal.
There is no leak of an actual colorway of the Nike Phantom GX football boots yet. The prototypes were either without or blackout.
We have no concrete tech info yet, but the prototypes give us a first impression. There are two different Nike Phantom GX sub-models, one with and another without a collar.
Similar to previous Nike Phantom silos, the Nike Phantom GX football boots are made for accuracy and control. What is particularly interesting is the unique upper layer that is likely made for better passing and shooting accuracy in all weather conditions.
Both the collared and low-cut options try to have no laces in touch and shooting areas. The Dynamic Fit version has a lace cover, the low-cut version has a very short lace area.
