Fatal Error? Aston Villa Sell Product With Everton Badge - Here Is How It Happened
English Premier League team Aston Villa were selling a product with an Everton logo on it, it has been spotted by @doc3d. Let us find out how it happened.
Fanatics Error: Aston Villa Product Features Everton Crest On Bottom Left - Picture Only
The Aston Villa Iconic Defender T-Shirt features the Aston Villa badge on the left chest but an Everton crest on the bottom left. How did this happen?
Fanatics sell practically the same product for Aston Villa & Everton
The Aston Villa Iconic Defender T-Shirt has not been produced by the club's kit maker, Castore, but by retail giants Fanatics. Fanatics run the online store of Aston Villa, but also the online store of Everton.
Practically the same T-Shirt (called Defender) is also available for Everton but with the correct Everton crest on the bottom left.
The picture is photoshopped, and an error happened
However, we are very sure that anybody who bought the Aston Villa T-Shirt got the correct product. It is most likely only the photoshopped picture that featured the mismatching crest.
Since the error has gone viral, Aston Villa/Fanatics removed the product from the online store.
Both teams are also selling a hoodie with the same design and bespoke logos.
