Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior has trained in some classic football boots in training this week.

Vinicius Jr laced up in the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX 98 football boots from 2014. Inspired by the first-ever Mercurial launched in 1998, the Nike Mercurial IX 2014 98 boots have a stylish design in turquoise green and orange.

Interestingly, Vinicius Jr was just 13 years old when Nike released the Mercurial Vapor IX 1998 soccer cleats. They were part of a special Mercurial collection that included four World Cup-inspired Mercurial editions.
For the match against Celtic, Vinicius Jr. switched back to the current Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 Elite boots colorway.
