Adidas Copa Boot Silo in Crisis? Pedri Completes Predator Switch
- Pedri Switch: FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri, a main ambassador for the Adidas Copa, has switched to the Adidas Predator silo.
- Joao Felix Switch: Another Adidas Copa ambassador, Joao Felix, has switched to the Adidas X Speedflow boots.
- Copa Silo Struggle: The Adidas Copa boot silo is struggling to gain popularity among professional players, potentially due to lockdown/stability issues, the removal of kangaroo leather, and the popularity of other Adidas lines.
Update: Pedri, the rising Spanish midfielder of FC Barcelona, made his debut in the Adidas Predator Accuracy soccer cleats in the Copa del Rey match against Real Sociedad. This probably means that Pedri is no longer endorsing the Adidas Copa soccer cleats.

Dybala Trains in Adidas Copa Pure+ 2023 Football Boots
Meanwhile, Paulo Dybala trained in the new Adidas Copa Pure+ football boots in the last few days instead of the last-gen Adidas Copa Sense+ 2022 Wold Cup Boots. He might debut them away against Napoli on Sunday, January 29.
21 January 2023: Pedri & Joao Felix No Longer Wear Adidas Copa Football Boots
It seems that Adidas are facing a serious challenge as two of their main ambassadors for the Copa football boot silo have switched to other boot silos.
Pedri Trains in Next-Generation Adidas Predator Accuracy+ Football Boots
FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri, who was the main ambassador for the Copa Sense, has been spotted training in the unreleased Adidas Predator Accuracy+ during the latest training session. This is a clear indicator that he could say goodbye to the Copa silo.
Dybala remains the most famous player wearing the laceless Copa
Pedri was also not featured in the launch pictures of the Adidas Copa Pure soccer boots.
Joao Felix Wears Adidas X Speedflo+ Instead of Adidas Copa
On the other hand, Joao Felix also seems to have switched to a different silo. He has been wearing the Adidas X Speedflow football boots for months now.
What makes this even worse for Adidas is that Joao Felix was the promo player for the brand-new Adidas Copa Pure+ football boots.
Least Favorite Player Choice: Modern Adidas Copa Football Boots Silo Is Struggling
The Copa silo has been struggling to gain popularity among professional players since the beginning. Original face Paulo Dybala is one of the few remaining players who still wears them, even though he has not switched to the next-generation Copa Pure yet.
The lack of players choosing to wear the Copa boots can be greatly seen on Football Boots DB, our website about players' boot choices. While the Adidas Predator and X have huge player support, especially the laceless version of the Copa is unpopular.

Laceless Adidas Copa Silo - Possible Problems Include Lockdown/Stability & Dithed Kangaroo Leather
The problems for professionals with the laceless Adidas Copa have not been officially disclosed. However, we think it is likely that they are related to insufficient lockdown, stability, and acceleration with the laceless Copa.
Additionally, the next generation of Copa Pure boots have removed the kangaroo leather, which could become a further factor for players avoiding the silo.
Adidas Copa boot silo - uncertain future as Pedri and Joao Felix switch to other silos?
It remains to be seen how Adidas will handle this situation, as the Copa silo is currently their least popular among the players. The brand will need to come up with strategies to promote the Copa and attract more players to wear them.

FC Luzern 125th Anniversary 26-27 Home Kit Released
FC Luzern have unveiled their new 2026-27 home kit, debuting it in the final home game against FC Zürich. Made by Erreà, the new shirt replaces the traditional white details with gold elements, giving the kit a darker and more elegant appearance for the club’s 125th anniversary season.
The new FC Luzern home shirt features a deep navy base combined with gold logos, names and numbers, while subtle ornamental graphics inspired by the Rathaussteg bridge connect the design to the city of Lucerne. A special anniversary crest can also be added to the sleeve.
The red sponsor logo breaks up the design - the Luzern Women team kit comes with a much nicer gold sponsor.
The move away from white is a temporary one, with the club stressing that blue and white remain the official colours of FC Luzern.
