Mykhailo Mudryk to Wear Number 15 for Chelsea
Update: Chelsea have added yet another new player to the squad with the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk. He is expected to wear the number 15 for the club.
Mudryk has been unveiled at Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player and although he has posed in the shirt, his number has not been revealed by the club yet. Thankfully the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano was on hand to share what he knows, stating that Mudryk will be given the number 15.
Update: We have created a mock-up of the Chelsea Slonina No. 36 goalkeeper kit and fixed a little but crucial error. Of course, new Chelsea signing David Datro Fofana is number 27. Number 33 belongs to Wesley Fofana.
Three of Chelsea's four January signings have been given their squad numbers.
New Chelsea January 2023 Signings - João Félix Gets Number 11 Shirt at Chelsea
Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market this month, signing four players already. Portuguese attacker João Félix is the biggest name to have joined the London club, coming in on a six-month loan spell from Atlético Madrid. Chelsea confirmed today that Felix has been given the number 11 shirt. He wore the same number for Portugal at the World Cup, while at Atlético Madrid he claimed the number seven jersey upon his arrival in 2019.
N'Golo Kanté currently occupies that number at Chelsea, but the 11 had been vacant since the departure of Timo Werner last summer. Didier Drogba is arguably the best player to ever wear that shirt at the club, and Chelsea fans would definitely be happier to see Felix replicate the Ivorian's form rather than that of Werner.
Badiashile, Fofana and Slonina
Speaking of Ivorian strikers, Chelsea added a new one to their ranks, buying David Datro Fofana from Molde and giving him the number 27. They also brought in French centre back Benoît Badiashile from Monaco on an enormous seven and a half year contract. He picks up the number four shirt that previously bore the name of Andreas Christensen.
Young goalkeeper Gabirel Slonina was signed last summer but was only given a squad number last week. 36 will appear on the back of the American's shirt. Andrey Santos also joined the club from Vasco Da Gama, but no number has been announced for the Brazilian midfielder yet.
No number for Andrey Santos was announced yet
