Alanyaspor Wear Special Kit to Support Turkey Earthquake Victims - Horrible Design?
Turkish side Alanyaspor Kulübü were wearing a special kit in their friendly match against Galatasaray to raise benefit for the recent Turkey earthquakes' victims. However, despite sending a touching message, the design of the Alanya-based club's special jersey left something to be desired
Alanyaspor Wear Special Jersey to Support Earthquake Victims in Turkey
Alanyaspor wear the special kit in this past weekend’s friendly match against Galatasaray to raise benifit and the profit will be given to support the earthquake victims in Turkey. The jersey has names of the city affected by the earthquake plus graphic images of destroyed buildings with a hand holding the Turkey flag.
The club also moved its crest into the left side while the kit sponsor, Uhlsport placed in the center. On the back, the club also have pictures of people on their shirt number, which actually look pretty cool in comparison to the front side design. In terms of color base, the special kit uses the club's white away color instead of their home one.
Although Alanyaspor’s special kit gives a special gesture there are some minor voices from fans regarding the additional design as it makes the jersey looks like a military shirt. From afar, those who might not understand the purpose might actually think that the club’s shirt does have some military-like affiliation.
"I wish the work you did to give good messages and support go in hand with the aesthetic. You make the jersey into a military shirt," a fan commented on Twitter.
"They list all the things they want on the shirt in a meeting than ask someone from the street to put it in the jersey," another fan wrote.
However, considering it’s a shirt used for a special occasion and might not go on sale, not having the best design might still be excusable. It's unlikely that Alanyaspor will wear the jersey in their upcoming official matches in the Turksih Super Lig.
Earlier this season, Alanyaspor already released their their home, away and third kits.

Alanyaspor Also Wear Special Pre-game T-Shirt
Aside from wearing the special match kit, before the game, Alanyaspor players also wear a pre-game t-shirt which is also dedicated to supporting their country, with messages such as ‘Get Well Soon My Turkey’ and ‘Turkey One Heart’.
Aside from not giving a pleasing aesthetic, the special kit's odd design didn’t give much help to the team’s performance as they lost that benefit game 4-2. In the end, it's all for a good cause so results or aesthetic are certainly not something Alanyaspor pay too much attention on.
