No More Nike: Nketiah Wears Boots With "Full Carbon Fiber Outsole"

Update: We have received new information about the white football boots worn by Arsenal's Nketiah in Saturday's match away against Leicester City. They are no New Balance football boots but unreleased Under Armour football boots.

Nketiah Debuts Unreleased Whiteout Under Armour Football Boots

The white-out Under Armour football boots worn by Nketiah appear to have a carbon-fiber sole plate. Officially, it is called a "TPU outsole that is inspired by McClaren", and possibly the carmaker's Formula One cars. There is no mention of carbon fiber, but they appear to have a lot of it.

The unreleased Under Armour soccer cleats also have a partly knit upper with a small collar for a second-skin fit and a skeleton for better lockdown while keeping the boots lightweight.

Stay tuned for more information about Nketiah's upcoming brand switch and his boots.

26 February 2023: Nketiah to Join New Balance?

Up-and-coming Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is set to become the latest signing for New Balance, joining the likes of Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling.

Nketiah used to be sponsored by Nike although it looks like his deal with the brand expired a while ago and he's been wearing the Mercurial Vapor XI, which was originally released in 2016.

Nketiah switched things up in training this week and against Leicester, wearing a pair of white-out New Balance Furon v7 cleats.

Whether he was just trying them out or if he's already close to closing a deal with NB remains to be seen, but we think it's highly likely that Eddie Nketiah will be the brand's latest headline signing.
