PSG Launch We Run Paris - The Club's First 10K Running Event
Paris Saint Germain continue to embark on non-football activities as they recently launched their first 10K running event, entitled We Run Paris on February 6.
PSG We Run Paris Open for Adults and Kids
The We Run Paris will be open to everyone from kids (ages between 7 - 15) and adults (16 and above).
According to the club's official statement, the 10K running event is scheduled to take place on July 2, 2023, with the start and finish line set at PSG’s stadium, Parc des Princess. Meanwhile, for the kids, the race will kick start on July 1 but it will be four courses race (500,1000,1500, and 3000) and not a 10KM run.
Individual entry tickets, which include a running bib plus a special t-shirt along with other additional facilities, are set at €15 for kids and €40 for adults. There are also offers for group/companies, which varies from €55 to €200 (per person excluding VAT), and VIP entry worth €650.
However, there’s free entry for disabled people, who will also have the opportunity to join the race using a wheelchair or Joelette. PSG will also donate every €1 from ticket entry to support the needs via their charity foundation.
Being their first running event, PSG are working to give the best experience by setting up an entertainment village that participants can already access from June 30.
Les Parisiens will also involve their star players and legends at the upcoming We Run event, as they already have them participating in the promotion. However, there's no confirmation on whether any of the players will be joining the 10K race.
The event is certainly another attempt from PSG to expand its brand outside of football, without leaving the popular sport’s influence. Previously, Les Parisiens have also reached a deal with renowned local publisher Amphora to produce books about the club’s history, players, etc.
