Class | Hector Bellerin Wears Classic Sporting CP Kits

Sporting CP defender, Hector Bellerin showcases his affection for the Portuguese outfit by rocking their club's classic shirts in a photoshoot.

Bellerin Wears Sporting CP Classic 1996/97 European Competition Kit

On his social media, Bellerin was seen sporting one of the Green and Whites’ classic kits in his photoshoot with @maxgalys, the 1996/97 European home jersey to be exact. Sporting used it for the UEFA Cup competition during that year but unfortunately, they only lasted until the second round as they were eliminated by FC Metz 3-2 on aggregate.

The classic jersey that Bellerin wears was back when Sporting was still sponsored by Adidas and has a unique combination of white and Paris green colors. For that year, the three stripes didn’t use a normal logo but only a lettering type.

Aside from wearing the 1996-97 kit, Bellerin was also showcasing other classic Sporting shirts, such as the 1992-93 Adidas-made jersey. Other than the club’s match kits, the full-back also showed a white polo T-shirt in his social media shots.

Bellerin is Known to Enjoy Wearing Vintage Club Kits in the Past

The Spaniard was signed on a dry loan deal from Barcelona in the January transfer window to replace Pedro Porro, who joined Tottenham Hotspur. Although Bellerin has only made six appearances in total so far for Sporting, it looks like he already grows fond of the club’s, especially its classic kits.

It’s certainly not a surprise as Bellerin is quite known to be wearing some of his previous club’s classic jerseys at various events, notably during his time at Arsenal and Real Betis.

Considering his strong sense of fashion and fondness for retro football shirts, Sporting CP's classic kit surely won't be the last vintage jersey he will be wearing.
