Tottenham Hotspur and Formula 1 Signed a 15-year Partnership
Tottenham 15-year long partnership with Formula 1 is not related to any shirt sponsorship though as it’s more of a strategic partnership related to the racing world. The partnership will see the launch of the first in-stadium electric karting facility and a driver’s academy program to find the next F1 drivers.
The upcoming electric karting facility will be based below Tottenham Stadium’s South Stand, which has been known to be quite iconic. The facility is set to also include the largest Indoor track in London, making it more appealing especially for racing enthusiasts as they can get a special experience they won’t get in other football stadiums.
The upcoming new track could potentially become a future venue for national karting championships in the future. Tottenham are expecting that the karting facility including the indoor track will officially open in the Autumn of this year. Those who are interested in enjoying the upcoming motorsport experience can pre-register to get info and access it at the club's official site.
Aside from the karting facility, Tottenham and F1 will also give educational activities for schools with the hope of discovering new Formula 1 racers with their driver academy programme. Spurs are hoping that the program can also show career pathways in the other part of racing such as engineering and software development. Another important collaboration that the two parties will be committing to is working together on initiatives that promote environmental responsibilities.

partnering with world-renowned brands like Tottenham Hotspur allows us to take Formula 1 and motorsport to new and diverse audiences
Commenting about the partnership, President and CEO of F1, Stefano Domenicali expresses his hope of taking the motorsport world into another realm, which is the footballing world. “As we continue to grow our sport around the world, partnering with world-renowned brands like Tottenham Hotspur allows us to take Formula 1 and motorsport to new and diverse audiences,” Domenicali stated.
Tottenham’s connection with the moto racing world has actually happened back in 2008 with the Superleague Formula competition which lasted until 2011. The Lilywhites along with several top football clubs, such as AC Milan, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, etc participated to join the single-seater racing competition as sponsors.
Spurs participated in the competition until 2010 despite having their racer, Craig Dolby managed to finish in second place in two consecutive years (2009 and 2010).
Spurs' partnership with F1 is the latest collaboration they made outside of football as previously, the North London outfit also signed a 10-year agreement with NFL. That agreement also saw the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosting NFL matches with the first happening in 2019.
