Good or Bad? Nike Return to Streamlined Looks for 23-24 Elite Team Third Kits

Update: Most of the Nike 2023-2024 Elite Team third football kit have been fully leaked or released. It somehow marks a return to the beginning, as all the kits have streamlined designs with only custom colors. The first Nike Global 14-15 third kits were mostly loved, while it had become unpopular to have no custom kits since then.

Nike 2023-2024 Third Soccer Jerseys

The Nike 2023-24 third jerseys have bespoke colorways based on the same template. It is the same model that debuted for the Nike 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup kits.

What is most remarkable about the Nike 2023-2024 3rd kit template is the v-insert on the collar area.

In terms of the designs, the kits all lead in the same direction - they are modern with custom colors for each team but only mere bespoke design elements.

Nike's 23-24 third kits share the designs with the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup shirts.

Nike 23-24 Third Kit Have Same Pattern as Nike 2023 Women's World Cup Kits

The Liverpool 23-24 third kit and the Nike USA 2023 Women's World Cup kits share the design.

PSG are the only team to get a custom look created by Jordan and Travis Scott. The kit of Turkish champions Galatasaray has not been fully leaked yet, but it is widely expected to be red in the same style as the others.

The Swoosh released streamlined global third kits for their best teams in the world for the first time in 2014. Nine years later, the direction goes again towards streamlined looks with custom colors.

The template debuted for the 2023 Women's World Cup jerseys

Nike have eight European Elite teams for the 2023-2024 season. Club America from Mexico and Corinthians from Brazil also get a third kit based on the streamlined template.

Original UEFA Super Cup Sleeve Badge Was Removed

At the 2026 UEFA Super Cup, Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa wore the reigning Champions League and Europa League title-holder patches, respectively. This change started last year during the Super Cup clash between PSG and Tottenham Hotspur.

From 1998 to 2024, both teams competing in the UEFA Super Cup wore a single, generic tournament patch featuring the Super Cup trophy.

While PSG will continue wearing their Champions League patch throughout their continental campaign, Aston Villa's reigning Europa League champions patch will make its one and only appearance at the Super Cup. For their upcoming Champions League campaign, Villa will switch to a special Starball patch designated specifically for the reigning Europa League winners.

PSG Debut Retro-Inspired Champions League Font in UEFA Super Cup

Paris Saint-Germain officially debuted their special cup font for their 26-27 home jersey during the 2026 UEFA Super Cup clash against Aston Villa. The nameset made a striking visual statement on the pitch, featuring player names enclosed in sharp white rectangular boxes alongside 3D-styled squad numbers.

This unique typography takes direct inspiration from the legendary font worn by PSG during their victorious 95-96 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup campaign - the first major European trophy in the club's history.

While the streamlined standard typeface will continue to be used in domestic Ligue 1 matches, this nostalgic 90s-style font is set to be worn exclusively during their Champions League title defense.

Aston Villa 26-27 Third Kit Variation Debut

Following the 2026 UEFA Super Cup last night, we have got the first look at Aston Villa's new combination for their recently-released third kit.

Not being able to use the original version with claret shorts and socks due to kit clash against PSG, The Villans use white shorts and socks along with sky blue shirt to create an eye-catching look. Unlike many people's predictions, sky blue was not chosen by the club and Adidas for this variation.

Notably, these shorts and socks choices could very likely be inter-changeable between home and third kits, since both jerseys share similar color combinations.
