Atletico Madrid today debuted their brand-new 23-24 120 years away kit, manufactured by Nike, against RCD Mallorca. However, there was one noticeable absence in the kit - a long sleeve version for Atletico's star player, Antoine Griezmann.

Antoine Griezmann is a well-known admirer of Nike's latest kit. Weeks ahead of the launch, he shared his admiration for the back-then-leaked new Atlético Madrid 23-24 away kit on Instagram, expressing his affection with heart emojis.

Griezmann Wears Short Sleeve 23-24 Away Shirt With Undershirt

Griezmann, who typically prefers long sleeve shirts, wore a short sleeve shirt with an undershirt during the match.

Griezmann has been wearing long-sleeve shirts in all matches this year. The reason behind Nike's failure to supply Griezmann with a custom long sleeve shirt is still unknown.

It is important to note that the 23-24 kit was already launched in late April because of Atletico's 120-year anniversary on 26 April 2023. It is possible that Nike will later provide Atletico Madrid with a long sleeve version of the shirt for the French striker.

Atletico Madrid's new away kit has a historic-inspired design, featuring the same blue-and-white half-and-half style as their first-ever kit.
