Jules Koundé Pays Tribute to Bordeaux Roots in Vintage Adidas Kit
Koundé donned the classic Adidas Bordeaux 2002-03 away kit. The retro kit is based on the 2002 World Cup template. It features the Adidas Climacool technology and the Siemens Mobile logo.
Koundé's decision to wear the Bordeaux kit is a nod to his roots. He joined the French club at the age of 14 and made his first-team debut for them before joining Sevilla in 2019 and Barcelona in 2022. The 22-year-old has been sponsored by Adidas since the 2022 World Cup, making this a double match of sorts.
When Koundé played for Girondins Bordeaux, the French club were sponsored by Adidas' rival Puma.
