First-Ever Louis Vuitton x Pharrell Williams Football Kit Revealed
During Paris Menswear Fashion Week, Pharrell presented his highly-anticipated debut Louis Vuitton collection, which includes a football-inspired jersey.
After the death of Virgil Abloh, Pharrell Williams was announced as creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear in February.
As someone with a longstanding relationship with football, having produced club shirts for Juventus and Arsenal in collaboration with his own label Humanrace and Adidas, it is no surprise that Pharrell has produced this football-inspired jersey for his first collection with Louis Vuitton.
Louis Vuitton Football Shirt by Pharrell Williams
The Louis Vuitton 2023-2024 football shirt features a large-scale checkerboard design using the luxury house's iconic Damier print, with white cuffs and collar bisected by a thin green line. The piece can be worn as a traditional jersey or a stylish quarter-zip using a concealed zip.
Inspired by classic football kits, the shirt includes an 'LV' logo where a team's crest would usually be positioned, with 'Vuitton' as the shirt sponsor. Pharrell's attention to detail is evident, with the shirt including a sleeve sponsor in the form of a 'Lovers' badge depicting a hand holding a red monogram flower.
Not intended for sport? Leather appears to be used for the kit
Tech-wise, the Louis Vuitton football kit seems not to be made for sport. It comes with a leather-like material, a zip at the collar, and stitched plastic logos.
The Louis Vuitton 2023-2024 football kit is set to be available to buy in the next few months.
