A lot of thought went into the elaborate presentation box, tastefully designed and doubling as a sort of display case for the limited edition boots, with a message embossed on the inside of the fold up lid. The same message is found on the boot bag that comes as part of the package.
Feeling the boots in your hands, it becomes evident that the leather is just as soft and supple as it looks in the photos. Nothing less than what you'd expect from the master craftsmen in Montebelluna. The combination of the old-school materials and structure of the boot and the dazzling gold and black colorway is an unlikely match, but it works to great effect.
The Italian tricolour stands out proudly as the only non-black or gold element of the boots, a feature that has been a fixture of the Stadio since its launch back in the early 90s.
The extra details like the patch on the tongue, and 50th anniversary logos and inscriptions on the heel add the final touch of prestige to the boots. Overall, they're a fantastic representation of Lotto's heritage in the sport, definitely something worth celebrating.
