Aubameyang to Wear Fifth Different Number Within Two Years

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Gabonese striker, will wear the number 10 jersey for Olympique Marseille in the upcoming season, following the departure of Dimitri Payet.

Aubameyang Kit Number History

This will be the fifth different number the player has worn at club level in less than two years, as spotted by football squad numbers specialists @squadnos. Aubameyang started the 2021-22 season with Arsenal wearing the number 14 jersey. Then, he joined Barcelona to wear the number 25, before switching to number 17 for the 22-23 season. He then joined Chelsea to wear number 9, and now he takes the number 10 at Olympique Marseille.

Aubameyang has a large history of kit numbers, having worn the number 17 jersey consistently during his time at Borussia Dortmund. The player has also worn the number 7 jersey during his time at AS Saint-Étienne and the number 11 jersey at AS Monaco and LOSC Lille.

For Milan, where he started his career, Aubameyang wore the number 41 kit, but never played an official senior match.

For Gabon, Aubameyang only ever wore one number - the number 9 kit.
