Unexpected: Manchester United 23-24 Third Kit Features Alternative Maroon-Red Shorts

Manchester United have revealed their new third kit for the 23-24 season, and fans are in for a treat, as spotted by historical kit experts Museum of Jerseys (@museumofjerseys).

The Manchester United 2023-2024 third kit, which has white shorts and maroon-red socks as the default, also features maroon-red shorts as an alternative.

If debuted, this will be the first time since the 1950s that United will wear red shorts, as manager Matt Busby experimented with them for European games.

What's particularly exciting about the new kit is that the maroon-red shorts will have tonal logos and Three Stripes. The mock-up of the full look created by Footy Headlines shows off that this is a great combo.
