REVOLUTIONARY: 3D-Printed Adidas R.A.P. Football Boots Revealed
- Adidas R.A.P. Football Boots: Adidas has launched a special 3D-printed shoe as part of the R.A.P. (Radical Athlete Perception) project, incorporating athlete insights through feedback, testing, and data.
- Innovative Design: The Adidas 3D-printed prototype boots feature a neon green upper with a porous, lattice-like structure, resembling 3D-printed technology, combined with a black tongue and lacing system.
- Potential Benefits: A fully 3D-printed upper could provide ultimate breathability, bespoke fit, and ultra-lightweight design, potentially revolutionizing football boot manufacturing.
Update - Apr 30 2026: We have created a product image mockup of the Adidas R.A.P. football boots, Adidas' first-ever 3D-printed football boots. They are probably part of the 2026 World Cup collection, which boasts the same Solar Turbo main color. We also added a few more images from the reveal.
Update - Apr 9, 2026: Adidas has officially launched a special 3D-printed shoe as part of the R.A.P. (Radical Athlete Perception) project, bringing athlete insights to life through feedback, testing, and data. The product was developed based on insights from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ademola Lookman. More detailed information about this model will be announced by Adidas soon.
Atletico Madrid attacker Ademola Lookman has been spotted wearing what appears to be a groundbreaking, unreleased Adidas football boot during yesterday's training session. And it looks like nothing we have ever seen before on a football pitch.
Adidas 3D-Printed Climacool Football Boots
Here is a close-up look at the mysterious boots worn by Ademola Lookman.
The Adidas 3D-Printed prototype boots boast a striking neon green upper combined with a contrasting solid black tongue and lacing system.
But what makes this boot truly revolutionary is its construction. Up close, the entire neon green upper features a highly porous, lattice-like structure that strongly resembles 3D-printed technology.
For years, Adidas has been pioneering 3D printing in footwear, most notably with their Futurecraft 4D midsoles and, more recently, the Climacool lifestyle shoes, which feature a highly ventilated, structured upper. It appears Adidas is now ready to bring this futuristic manufacturing method to their elite football boots.
As seen in the comparison images, the lattice upper of Lookman's boots is incredibly similar to the structures found on the 3D Printed Runner and the Adidas Climacool Shoe.
If this boot features a fully 3D-printed upper, it could offer unprecedented benefits for footballers:
Ultimate Breathability: The honeycomb-like perforations would easily make it the most ventilated football boot on the market.
Bespoke Fit: 3D printing technology could eventually allow for custom-tailored uppers that match a player's exact foot shape and pressure points.
Ultra-Lightweight: The lattice structure drastically reduces material volume while maintaining strength and stability.
The tongue is the same/very similar to the current Adidas F50 football boots.

Special Commemorative Patches for 1000th FIFA World Cup Match
To mark a significant milestone in football history, special commemorative patches were featured during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group F match between Tunisia and Japan in Monterrey. The fixture officially marked the 1000th match in the history of the tournament.
In recognition of the occasion, both the Japan and Tunisia national teams wore mini Match 1000 arm patches on their jerseys. The special detailing was spotted on the players' kits during the game, as well as on the shirts laid out in the dressing rooms beforehand.
The commemorative design was not limited to the competing teams, as the match officials also wore the Match 1000 patch on their referee kits. This subtle yet historic addition provided a unique touch to the kits for the milestone game.
