Banned From 2026: Premier League Teams Make £56 Million From Betting Kit Main Sponsors
Despite the ban from 2026, Premier League clubs still earned £56 million from front-of-shirt sponsorship deals with betting companies this season, via Sport Business.
Betting Sponsors in 23-24 Premier League Season - 40% Have a Betting Sponsor
Eight of 20 (40%) clubs still have front-of-shirt sponsors who are betting companies, despite the Premier League ban coming into effect from the 2026-27 season. The 2025-26 season is the last season in which the betting company was allowed to appear as a front-of-shirt sponsor.
According to a report by Sport Business, earning from betting front-of-shirt sponsors is up 12% on last season.
The betting logos will probably move to the sleeves
Some mid-to-lower-tier Premier League clubs have projected that their primary shirt partnership's worth will decline by 33% to 50% once the prohibition is implemented. Nonetheless, they believe that their lost revenue will be recouped by a more than doubling of shirt sleeve sponsorship revenue.
