In terms of manufacturers, the big brands also dominate in Japan - Adidas, Nike, and Puma all make the kits for three teams - this means that almost 50% of the J League kits are made by just three brands.

Not a single J League team has teamwear kits

Meanwhile, we also see five brands that are not present on global pitches. Asics, Athleta, Penalty, and Yonex.

The 2024 J League kits all have 100% bespoke looks, with the exception of the Adidas-sponsored Albirex Niigata and Machida Zelvia, whose kits are customized Adidas Locker Room templates.

What is surely a downside compared to the kits of Europe and the USA is that the J League teams have as many as six sponsors - three on the front, two on the back, and one on the sleeves.
