New Bournemouth Logo
The new Bournemouth crest has a minimalist design with a bunch of cherries in the center and the number 1899 (the year the team was founded). The words AFC Bournemouth above and The Cherries (the team's nickname) below.
The reason why Bournemouth is nicknamed The Cherries is because:
- The traditional competition outfit has red and black stripes, similar to a cherry fruit.
- They are associated with Dean Court, built next to the Cooper-Dean estate, which was once a huge cherry orchard.
The new Bournemouth logo is a completely different design to the current one.
The new Bournemouth logo is quite similar in design to the Bournemouth logo used from 1981-1983.
The New Bournemouth logo is likely to be used from the 2024-25 season.
