Tottenham Re-Releases Old Kits With Manufacturer Logos, Despite Nike Deal

Tottenham revived the iconic Hummel 1985-1987 and 1989-1991 home kits, featuring the Danish sportswear brand's distinctive chevrons and logo. In addition, Spurs also brought back some of Hummel's old tracksuits.

The Tottenham Hummel remake kits are no 1-to-1 rendition but are very close to the original design and similar in terms of materials.

However, the move has raised eyebrows due to Tottenham's current kit deal with Nike, which was signed back in 2018. Under the terms of the agreement, Nike has exclusive rights to design and produce Tottenham's kits until at least 2033. This begs the question: how can Spurs reconcile their partnership with Nike while simultaneously resurrecting Hummel designs?

According to Footy Headlines sources close to the club, Tottenham has agreed with Nike to allow them to re-release select classic kits with the club's old manufacturers. Nike only became Spurs' kit maker in 2018 for the first time, so options for Nike x Spurs remakes are very limited.

Tottenham also re-released classic kits featuring the Admiral and Pony logos. Meanwhile, the club's old Umbro kits have been remade without the Umbro logo.

The Tottenham remake kits retail at a fair price of 40-45 GBP.

Tottenham and Nike have followed a very modern approach to their partnership since the beginning, so this all makes sense for us.
