2024-2027 UEFA Equipment Regulations Released: Minimal Changes Introduced

UEFA has officially released the 2024 UEFA Equipment Regulations, which should remain in effect until 2027.
The previous UEFA Equipment Regulations were released in 2021 and were in place until the end of the 2023-2024 season, which is a period of three years. The new regulations are expected to also remain in effect for the next three years, subject to any major changes.
2024 UEFA Equipment Regulations
The new 2024 UEFA Equipment Regulations are almost identical to the 2021 regulations, with only two minor changes outlined by UEFA. See them below:
Collar Zone Design Adjustment (Paragraph 4.01):
The minimum distance between the shirt collar and manufacturer identification has been reduced from 5cm to 3cm. This change allows for more flexibility in shirt design, reducing the potential crowding of elements on the front of the shirt. This could become interesting for brands like Kappa, which places its logo very high.
Slightly Updated Sponsor Rules (Paragraphs 28.01, 28.03, 28.04):
First, the conditions for using a sleeve sponsor have been revised. Clubs can now choose a sleeve sponsor from a broader range of options - they are free to name any of its premium sponsors its sleeve sponsor.

Second, the recent change in the law in Italy has been implemented in the Sponsor Rules. Although it is not directly stated as such.
Italy has forbidden betting sponsors but allows teams and betting operators to bypass the rule quite easily. Betting brands can start a news site, like done by Inter's main sponsor Betsson - Betsson.Sport. It's a pretty useless ban, then. Now, foreign teams with a forbidden betting sponsor can also profit from it in Italy. They could also wear a betting news site of its sponsor on their kits.
The rule could not only be important for matches in Italy. The rule allows teams to use any legally permissible sub-product of the sponsor if the main sponsor is banned - such as a non-alcoholic brand if alcohol sponsors are banned.
UEFA 2024-2027 Equipment Regulations - General Overview
Overall, the 2024 Equipment Regulations are the same as before regarding all important things regarding kits and boots. This applies to allowed design elements and the size of manufacturer logos (👀 Adidas' big logo, for example).

Vitória SC Announces Hummel Kit Deal
Vitória Sport Clube has officially announced a new five-year technical sponsorship deal with Hummel, beginning with the 2026-27 season. The Danish sportswear brand will supply the Portuguese club's match kits, training gear, and lifestyle apparel until the end of the 2030-31 campaign. This agreement brings an end to Vitória SC's decade-long partnership with Macron, who had been the club's kit maker since the 2016-17 season.
The club described the new agreement as a "return to the past to project into the future," referencing Hummel's previous stint as Vitória SC's kit supplier during 1992-92.

Glentoran 26-27 Home Kit Released
Glentoran and Macron have launched the club's new 2026-27 home kit for the upcoming NIFL Premiership campaign. The design pays homage to the classic 1992-93 shirt worn during their memorable European Cup tie against Marseille, featuring a green body with red sleeves and shoulder panels separated by black trim.
Giving the shirt a distinct early 1990s retro feel, a red fold-over collar is included with black striping and a black V-shaped insert at the front. A tonal graphic pattern runs across both the green and red sections, adding texture to the Macron Eco Fabric. The Macron Hero logo appears in white on the chest and sleeves, sitting opposite the stitched Glentoran crest and its accompanying gold star.
Additional details include the club motto Le Jeu Avant Tout embroidered in white on the back of the collar, and Glentoran FC Est 1882 printed inside the lower hem. Featuring Bet McLean as the main sponsor, the new Glentoran 2026-27 home shirt is completed with matching white shorts and green socks.
Grimsby Town Announces Lotto Kit Deal
