2024 Ballon d'Or - Battle of Brands
Unsurprisingly, Nike and Adidas continue to dominate the 2024 Ballon d'Or nominations list with 15 and 10 players respectively, accounting for more than 80% of the top 30 (83.3%).
Adidas and Nike sponsor over 80% of nominees
This list of nominees includes five players who do not wear Nike or Adidas: Carvajal, Xhaka (Puma), Harry Kane (Skechers), Rudiger (Under Armour) and Bukayo Saka (New Balance).
Despite ending contracts with many players over the years, Nike still owns half of the players nominated for the 2024 Ballon d'Or, showing that the Swoosh is still the top brand. The Swoosh has three top stars: Haaland, Mbappe and Vinicius.
