Major Strategy Change: 150 USD Adidas Authentic Kits Available for All National Teams in 2026 World Cup

  • Adidas Strategy Change: Adidas will provide authentic kits for all of its national teams participating in the 2026 World Cup.
  • Authentic Kit Availability: Unlike previous tournaments where only 'Elite' teams received authentic kits, all Adidas-sponsored teams will now have access to them, and they will be available for public purchase.
  • Kit Technology and Pricing: The authentic 2026 kits feature 'Climacool+' technology for improved moisture management and will retail for $150 USD.

Back in January 2025, Footy Headlines was the first to report that Adidas would be equipping all of its national teams with authentic kits for the 2026 World Cup. Now, we get the confirmation from Adidas - Adidas did not only create authentic kits for each club, but every Adidas 2026 national team kit is also available to buy in the authentic variant.

Adidas Releases Authentic Kits for All National Teams

From 2026, Adidas releases authentic kits for all national teams. Previously, Adidas only released authentic kits for the top national teams (Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Argentina, Mexico and Japan).

This is a significant change from Adidas. In previous tournaments, the high-end, player-issue authentic kits were a privilege reserved only for their "Elite" teams.

The change surely also has to do with the difficult climate in the host nations.

  • 2022 World Cup: Only 6 teams received authentic kits (Germany, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Belgium).
  • 2024 Euro/Copa America: The same list, with the addition of Italy.
  • 2026 World Cup: ALL Adidas-sponsored teams, including Peru, Colombia, Sweden, Scotland, Wales, Chile, etc., received the top-tier authentic kits (featuring Climacool+ technology) to wear in North America.

The official Adidas 2026 kit is called 'Climacool +' instead of the previous 'Heat.Rdy'.

At the core of Adidas' 2026 World Cup kits is the Climacool+ material, designed to improve moisture management and breathability. Through intricate weaving patterns and strategic ventilation zones, Climacool+ is engineered to actively wick sweat away from the body, promoting rapid evaporation and maintaining an optimal body temperature.

All-New Adidas Authentic 2026 Kit "Climacool/Climacool+" Technology Leaked

ALL authentic versions for the "smaller" federations are available for public purchase, retailing at 150 USD, 50 USD more than the replica.

The 2026 national team home kits are available from 6 November 2025, while the away kits will be launched in March 2026.

What do you think of this new strategy from Adidas? A great move to give all teams the best technology? Let us know in the comments below.

European National Teams Reimagined With Germany Home Shirt Template

Football kit account @The_Kit_Parade has reimagined various European national teams using Germany's 2026 World Cup home shirt template.

The graphic applies the distinct pattern to countries including England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Sweden. While the design adapts seamlessly to neutral and white bases, with the Irish, Dutch, and Welsh concepts receiving particular praise from fans, others like the Spanish edition proved more divisive due to clashing colors.

The Number on the Egypt Puma Kit Came Off

During Egypt's World Cup match against New Zealand, striker Mostafa Ziko was seen wearing a 'damaged' jersey after one of the digits on the front came off. Although he was wearing the number 11 shirt, one of the "1"s fell off, making it look like he was wearing number 1 instead.

The number appears to have been poorly heat-applied to the jersey and gradually peeled off due to sweat during the game. The incident occurred as Mostafa Ziko celebrated his goal, when one of the digits in his number 11 shirt detached, leaving only a single "1" visible on the front.
