French Club FC Rouen 1899 Caps Kit Prices at €49

  • Price Cap: FC Rouen 1899 is capping jersey prices at €49, starting next season.
  • New Supplier: FC Rouen ended its partnership with Macron and will collaborate with X Krypt.
  • Accessibility Focus: The club aims to make jerseys affordable and accessible to fans.

In a striking move against the rising tide of football merchandise pricing, French club FC Rouen 1899 has announced a €49 price cap on all its jerseys beginning next season. The initiative comes as a direct response to the increasingly prohibitive cost of football kits across Europe's top leagues, where authentic shirts can often exceed €100.

FC Rouen Launches Own Kit Brand, Kits to Not Cost More than 49 Euro

Club president Iwan Postel, a vocal advocate for making football more accessible, has backed up his rhetoric with concrete action by introducing this fan-friendly pricing strategy. The policy represents a significant departure from industry standards, with most professional clubs continuing to increase kit prices year after year.

To facilitate this approach, FC Rouen has ended its partnership with Italian sportswear manufacturer Macron and will instead collaborate with X Krypt, a new equipment supplier founded by Postel himself. This vertical integration gives the club greater control over both design and pricing.

"The jersey must remain a symbol of belonging and pride for all," the club stated in their announcement. "It should not become an inaccessible luxury product."

The current FC Rouen kits are made by Macron and were available for €65.

Union Berlin 26-27 Home Kit to Be Released June 8

German newspaper BILD has confirmed our leak of the Adidas 1. FC Union Berlin home kit for the 2026-27 season. The design shifts from the prior red and white striped look to a predominantly red shirt with white accents on the collar and shoulders. An embossed geometric pattern across the front and sleeves directly references the steel roof structure of Stadion An der Alten Försterei as a tribute to the club's historic ground. Sponsors Adidas, Raisin and Kermi remain unchanged from the previous season.

The kit will be officially unveiled on June 8, an earlier date chosen to avoid the FIFA World Cup window running from June 11 to July 19.

LEAKED: Adidas to Upgrade Leeds United to Local Elite Tier

As spotted by @theadelites, a new customisation option on the Leeds United club shop website allows fans to chosse between replica and authentic kits (added by error too early). This probably means that Adidas has upgraded the club from the B Premium tier to one of the Local A Elite tiers. The move gives fans the option to select authentic kits built around advanced Climacool+ performance technology.

Reports from February indicated similar upgrades for clubs including Ajax and Lyon ahead of the 2026-27 season, but Adidas apparently postponed/scrapped these. Adidas previously already upgraded British teams Celtic, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United.
