An interesting cross-sport kit similarity has emerged with the launch of Hull Kingston Rovers' 2025 Alternate Shirt. The new rugby league kit, made by Oxen, features a design concept remarkably similar to Paris Saint-Germain's 2023-2024 home kit, manufactured by Nike.

Both jerseys share the same core elements. A dark navy base color with a prominent vertical red stripe, positioned slightly off-centre towards the wearer's left. Both the PSG Nike kit and the Hull KR kits feature a distinctive fade effect on the red and white stripes as they move down the shirt, blending into the navy base.
The fact that the Hull KR kit, made by Oxen, was released approximately 18 months after the Nike PSG kit makes claims of coincidence highly unlikely, suggesting it's a direct copy or, at the very least, heavily inspired by the football giants' design.
