Bayern Fans Have Once Again Expressed Strong Outrage Over the Recent Adidas Bayern Kits

Yesterday at Allianz Arena, we witnessed Müller bringing to a close his emotional 18-year journey at this stadium. We saw Bayern Munich lift the Bundesliga title for the 34th time in their history. But we also saw Bayern Munich supporters vent their anger once again at the club's kit design philosophy under Adidas in recent years. Thanks to @KitCrimes for the heads-up.

Bayern Fans Have Once Again Expressed Strong Outrage Over the Recent Adidas Bayern Kits

The controversial home debut of the new 2025-2026 away kit proved to be a flashpoint, with fans unfurling a massive banner that read: "Eure Trikotdesigns sind seit Jahren eine Schande für unseren Verein!" (Your kit designs have been a disgrace to our club for years!).

This outburst of anger is not an isolated incident but rather the continuation of simmering frustration that has boiled over multiple times in recent seasons. Bayern's faithful have become increasingly vocal about their disapproval of Adidas's design choices, which they feel often disregard the club's rich traditions and identity.

  • In September 2024, fans protested the 2024-2025 Oktoberfest kit, particularly its colors and what they deemed a "defaced crest." A banner at the time read: "Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang – Das V Wiesn-Trikot ziert ein falsches Wappen – was soll der Schmarrn?" (Red & White for life – The V Wiesn jersey features a wrong crest).
  • In February 2025, another prominent banner appeared, stating: "Unsere Farben sind Rot und Weiß – Eure Trikotexperimente machen uns Speis" (Our colors are red and white - your kit experiments make us sick/puke), reinforcing the "#UnsereFarben" (Our Colors) campaign.

The decision to debut the new 2025-2026 away kit, which features red and blue accents, during a home game likely further fueled the fans' anger, adding to the perception that their concerns are not being heard.

Pressure Mounts on Adidas and the Club

These recurring and increasingly vociferous protests place considerable pressure on both Adidas and the Bayern Munich board.

Whether this sustained wave of criticism will lead to a more traditional and fan-approved design approach for future kits remains to be seen. However, the message from the stands is unmistakably clear: a significant portion of the Bayern faithful are demanding change and a return to kits that they feel genuinely represent the pride and heritage of FC Bayern München.
