REPORT: PSG to NOT Add Star on 25-26 Kits
- Kit Design: PSG will not add a star above their crest on the regular 2025-2026 kits, despite winning the Champions League.
- Star Precedent: Unlike leagues with strict star regulations, French teams like Olympique de Marseille and Saint-Etienne display stars for Champions League wins and league titles, respectively.
- Club Philosophy: PSG insiders suggest the club views adding a star as something 'small clubs' do, preferring to emulate top clubs with a more understated approach.
Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly set to forego adding a star above their crest on next season's (2025-26) kits.
PSG just released a special Collector's kit with an Eiffel Tower star following the Champions League title, but it certainly will remain a Collector's item only.

PSG Won't Have Star on 2025-2026 Kits
How a star could look above the PSG crest.
As reported by PSG insiders @lasource75006, Paris Saint-Germain will not use the option to include a star on their regular kit, despite winning the Champions League.
Ligue 1 has no rules for stars
There are at least two reasons why PSG could add a star to their kits. Why two? It is because in France, there is a proliferation of stars. Unlike Italy or Germany, France has no specific regulations for league title stars.
PSG rivals Olympique de Marseille display a star for their 1993 Champions League win – a practice shared in Europe only by Celtic for a single continental title. Meanwhile, Saint-Etienne has a star incorporated in their crest for 10 league titles.
PSG could take inspiration from these two teams and also display (at least) one star, because they already won 13 league titles and, now, one Champions League. However, PSG insiders @lasource75006 say they do not want.
The PSG insiders stated, "Yes, it's true that for the moment the club doesn't want to wear a star on its jersey next season. It makes it a small club... that wants to ride on it for 100 years... let's get closer to the best clubs that don't try to overdo it, and not the small clubs." A "collector's jersey" with the star might be offered separately for fans.
