It has been confirmed that Barcelona's new 25-26 home kit provides sufficient contrast against Rayo Vallecano's traditional white kit with a red sash, allowing for the new shirt to finally be worn in an official match.

This is quite encouraging news for the team and its fans, as they had to wear last season's 2024-25 third kit in the opening two matches against RCD Mallorca and Levante.

This was because La Liga's "Kit Selector" system determined that all three of their new 25-26 kits (home, away, and third) clashed with their opponents' kits.
