Nike 25-26 Total 90 Third Kits Cause Font Chaos

  • Nike Total 90 Third Kits: The Nike 25-26 Total 90 third kits are causing font alignment issues, where the player names do not match the curved panel on the shirt.
  • La Liga Font Mismatch: In La Liga, the angle of the names on the third kit does not align with the boxed layout, creating a visually unappealing mismatch, particularly noticeable on the Barcelona kit.
  • Barcelona's Third Kit Fonts: Barcelona's 2025-2026 third kit features different fonts for La Liga and Champions League, with La Liga requiring a white font that clashes with the kit's colors and panel design, while the Champions League font is navy and orange.

Update: Atlético Madrid won 5-0 away against Betis yesterday. They wore their 2025-2026 third kit with their own font, but did not align the player names to the curved panel. Instead, they had simple, straight names.

Update: Now Tottenham debuted their 2025-2026 third kit in the English Premier League. Similar to the font of La Liga, the angle of the typeface was not adjusted to the panel, resulting in a painful mismatch.

In the Champions League, Tottenham has their own Total 90 font, and the angle of the player names matches the panel. The colors of the Premier League font are also slightly different from those of the kit, but not too much to cause an obvious mismatch.

Update: Barcelona has debuted their 2025-2026 third kit in La Liga, and the typeface design looked just as poor as previous images suggested. Not only does the color mismatch (white on orange), but what hurts our eyes even more is that the angle of the names doesn't align with the panel - especially for players with longer names such as Lewandowski.

Update: Yesterday, Barcelona debuted their 2025-26 third kit in the Champions League, featuring a font in navy and orange. It looked perfectly fitting and visually striking on the pitch. However, in La Liga, the font had to be changed to white due to the league's kit regulations.

Update: The official Nike online store has updated the font kit of the Barcelona 25-26 third shirt, with a white base and navy trim, different to the club's orange/navy font kit.

While the club font comes in two colors that match the orange and navy of the kit (orange names, navy numbers), La Liga’s standard typeface is used in white. That in itself is not a major issue.

What stands out, however, is the name rotation. The angle of the La Liga names of the third kit does not align with the boxed layout seen on Nike’s T90 design, creating a mismatch that hurts the eyes.

The rotation seen for the 24-25 third kit would match better for the 25-26 third kit

However, will this actually be the case? Barcelona themselves do not offer the shirt with La Liga printing - the version has been spotted via independent reseller Futbol Emotion, with the image made by @XXAHUL. It could be that the retailer got it slightly wrong, but usually retailers get their name sets directly from the supplier, which is Avery Dennison for La Liga, so it should be correct.

What do you think of the La Liga font on Barça’s 25-26 third kit? Should they align the rotation? Let us know in the comments below.
