PSG Wears Eiffel Tower Star in International Matches Only
- Eiffel Tower Star: PSG's jersey features an Eiffel Tower star after their Champions League win, but it's exclusively used in international matches.
- Domestic vs. International: The Eiffel Tower star is present in FIFA & UEFA competitions, but absent in domestic Ligue 1 games.
- Reason Unknown: The specific reason for PSG's decision to omit the star in Ligue 1 matches is currently unknown, despite the league typically permitting such symbols.
After their UEFA Champions League victory, PSG added an Eiffel Tower star to their jersey. Now, the first matches of the 25-26 season reveal that the star is only present in non-domestic fixtures.
PSG Do Not Use Eiffel Tower Star in Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain used the crest with the Eiffel Tower star in FIFA & UEFA competitions, but without the star in domestic matches. The small design tweak has drawn attention to one of our followers, who noticed the difference between Ligue 1 games and the Champions League.
We have no info on why PSG does not use the star in the Ligue 1. The French league usually should allow the star above the crest (as seen with other Ligue 1 teams like OM and ASSE), so it remains a mystery for now.
