Update: Puma and Portugal have officially unveiled the special 2026 “Black Panther” kit, honoring the 60th anniversary of Eusébio’s 1965 Ballon d’Or legacy.
Eusébio is widely regarded as one of the greatest Portuguese footballers of all time. He won the Ballon d’Or in 1965, was the top scorer of the 1966 World Cup with 9 goals, and led Portugal to a historic third-place finish in England.
Portugal 2026 'Black Panther' Kit
This is the new Puma Portugal special jersey for 2026.
The Puma Portugal 2026 special jersey is predominantly black, featuring an all-over tonal pattern of the historic Portuguese shield crest, used by the federation between 1914 and 1966.
On the back of the collar are the words “Pantera Negra”. This not only references the Puma Portugal 2026 special jersey’s sleek panther-like aesthetic but also honors Eusébio, who carried the nickname “Black Panther”.
Additional details include green, red, and gold trim on the cuffs and collar, reflecting the colors of the Portuguese flag, while the Puma logo appears in gold.
