Nike is Back in Latin America
- Nike's Return to Latin America: Nike is actively re-establishing its presence in Latin American football after a previous disinvestment strategy.
- Key Partnership Renewals and New Agreements: Nike has renewed its partnership with the Brazil national team until 2038 and secured a long-term deal with Uruguay, expanding its influence in the region.
- Club-Level Expansion: Nike is adding Vasco da Gama, Atlético Mineiro, Racing Club, and Chivas to its sponsored clubs, compensating for the loss of Club América to Adidas.
Nike is making a strong push back into Latin American football, securing several major new deals across the continent.
Six years back, in 2019, Nike lost Boca Juniors, Club Libertad, SC Internacional, and Cerro Porteno as part of a disinvestment strategy.
Nike Strengthens Presence in the Americas
The brand has renewed its partnership with the Brazil national team until 2038 and signed a long-term agreement with Uruguay, after they signed a short-term deal before.
At club level, Nike will add Vasco da Gama, Atlético Mineiro, Racing Club, and Chivas to their portfolio, joining existing teams Corinthians, Alianza Lima, and Atlético Nacional. While they have lost Club América to Adidas, Nike appears to be rebuilding their dominance across the region.
