- Expanded Collections: The Adidas strategy includes expanded off-pitch and lifestyle collections for these local elite-tier clubs.
At Footy Headlines, we are hearing that several major European clubs will be upgraded into Adidas’ “local elite” category in the coming 26-27 season.
4 New Adidas Teams to Get Authentic Kit (Climacool+) for 26-27 Season
Local giants AFC Ajax, SL Benfica, Olympique Lyonnais, and Fenerbahçe SK are set to receive premium treatment, including kits built around advanced Climacool+ performance technology from the 2026-2027 campaign.
This follows the elevation of 2024 & 2025 of Aston Villa FC, AS Roma, Newcastle United FC, and Celtic FC.
Besides matchwear, the strategy also includes expanded off-pitch and lifestyle collections for these local elite-tier clubs.
These Adidas teams will also receive Trefoil away kits for the 2026-2027 season. However, the Trefoil will also be rolled out for smaller teams, such as Schalke, Köln, and Leicester.
